Resolutions? NO.. not this time

Resolutions? NO.. not this time

Before closing the year we get caught up in the need to make resolutions for the new year and want to start anew.. Diet,Save, Make new adventures, Checking bucketlists, Exercise, so on..

We are so bombarded with what we need to do differently and want to make CHANGE! Every year most of us go through this useless exercise of claiming to make this year the best yet by implementing resolutions. We are so determined to execute those resolutions in the first quarter but in the middle of the year here we go again stuck into our old ways and at the end of every year we are wondering why we didn’t accomplish much of anything and instead experienced more of the same. Relate Dearies? Yes a high five to that! We are on the same page sailing on the same boat in the same direction. But when age comes maturity, our faith should mature as well so we can see the right direction.

I asked myself these questions, Danae… what should be your resolutions this year? Me: I’m thoughtless, instead re-asked myself another question of what should be the factors to have a good resolutions? Then Romans 12:12 says “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will. “ I think this is my answer and will work it out.

Clearly implies that our mind is the key to Christian life. Therefore, our thinking must be switched from old Ungodly ways into new Godly ways of thinking. Our mind is so powerful the it send stimuli on how we are to react or made decisions. What we know in our minds to be true misconceptions will appear a conviction into our hearts of that misleading truth and that conviction in our hearts will transform into action, holding on to this quote that whether you think you can or can’t you’re right! So we must get our minds right. True that mistakes makes us, but repeated mistakes are what urge us to discern Godly thoughts.

A made up mind will give us a brand new attitude. We may tend to go with the flow and put up with a lot of stuffs for a long time. But the moment we realize that peace and joy are our essentials to pursue our purpose that’s where the gift of Holy spirit manifest our lives. May this be the year where we do our purpose with a brand new mindset for us to sail away into a new direction.

People may say your acting brand new and that’s ok. Just thank them and say “ So glad you noticed”

Wishing you all love, peace, blessings and wisdom.

Sing Praise! x
